White Mountains Attractions and Resources

With over 30 man-made and natural attractions, the White Mountains Region of New Hampshire are a great place to visit any time of the year. There are crystal clear lakes, rivers and ponds perfect for a day of fishing or boating; natural wonders and terrific family attractions. Golfers, tennis players, archery enthusiasts, horseback riders, rollerbladers and even stockcar racing fans will find ample opportunity to enjoy their favorite sports here. In the winter, Loon Mountain, New Hampshire’s premier mountain resort, offers great skiing and riding, and lots of off-mountain excitement. Downhill skiers and riders can also head for Cannon Mountain, just 10 minutes away, while cross-country skiers enjoy outstanding views on trails that wind throughout the Valley. Lincoln-Woodstock is located on Snowmobile Corridor Trail 11, one of the state’s major north-south corridors; the riding’s great, with area trails maintained by the local snowmobile club.
